Description

Fans of our Starlight Blend will find similar joy in our Dusk Blend.  This blend also underwent a name change, but still consists of the same coffee.  The Dusk Blend combines two coffees from Colombia and Ethiopia, which is the same for the Starlight Blend (medium roast).  However, the Dusk Blend has much richer notes and full body without being over roasted.  We made sure to preserve the sophisticated integrity of the beans without muting the beautiful toffee and grape notes found naturally in this coffee. We are proud to share this delicious bold coffee with you dark roast fans!

Colombia Nariño (Washed Process):

This delicious coffee comes from a group of farmers from Nariño! These farmers, hailing from the charming regions of Sandona and Chachauy, joined forces to create something truly special. They start with a simple 24-hour fermentation process that each farmer carries out on their own turf. Next, a thorough wash eliminates any residue. On the drying patio, the beans then bask in the sun, forging a consistent profile through mingling and exchanging flavors. This communal drying session ensures a consistent and top-notch profile for each batch. They then let those beans chill in grain pro bags for 125 days before milling — all aspects of the production process create a delightfully sweet Colombian coffee for the Starlight Blend.

Ethiopia Guji Shakiso (Natural Process):

Guji, a unique coffee region that sets itself apart from neighboring areas like Yirgacheffe and Sidama, produces distinct coffee varieties native to the landscape with a balanced, complex flavor profile that comes with them. Although it’s a rural location with accessibility challenges, woredas (districts) in Guji like Shakiso have still made names for themselves in the global market with a reputation for fantastic coffees.

The Sawana Washing Station, at 1,800 to 2,200m, is a prominent hub for processing Shakiso green coffee, whether it’s with the natural or washed process. The coffee cherries for this lot were sourced from smallholders in the community.
